I just don't even know how to respond to anything but 5 stars. It doesn't get any better than this. For Elton, rock music, piano playing, singing, lyrics. Elton and Bernie are in absolute top form here. They've had so many great singles, but not many start to finish albums like this one. And as far as just singles go, 'Levon' slays me everytime and 'Tiny Dancer' is perfect, but there are some here that are criminally overlooked: 'Holiday Inn', 'Rotten Peaches', 'Razorface', 'Madman . . .', and 'Goodby' are powerful, moving songs, maybe controversial, but as good as anything they have written. And vinyl is a great way to experience this too. I had this record as a young man, then the cassette, CD, and now back to 180g reissue vinyl. Vinyl all the way, it lets this recording breathe properly. Buy it next, you won't regreat it.
