Scott Pratt is an inventive writer with a readable style. His writing, like that of most current authors, could use a more careful editor since word repetition is a common, and sometimes fatal, problem. However, in Pratt's case, his ideas kept me riveted to the page, not the writing skills. And we readers are lucky: Pratt has written a who series of books about his lawyer protagonist Dillard.
