Neat idea in concept but totally falls flat due to bland story, and meaningless choice.
At first the idea of creating my own story was intriguing. However, instead of having a choosee your own adventure what it really turns out to be is Netflix interrupting your movie to ask you to choose a or b; and if you choose wrong the choice, Netflix starts the movie over recaps and everything you just watched... Which gets annoying after the 4 or 5 time. Why make me choose if you're just going to punish me for not choosing the correct next story beat Netflix?
It doesn't matter though because the story is disjointed and just boring. Essentially the movie is about a kid trying to program a computer game but feels like he's being controlled. There's a subplot about guilt from an early childhood event but honestly you won't really care. In fact there is a point in the movie where the character highlights that this movie is really boring and nothing's happening. It doesn't matter though because the movie is so disjointed because you keep getting sent back 10-20 minutes because you didn't pick the story Netflix wanted to tell you.
Neat idea, terrible execution 4/10
