Once again the show writers and producers have decided their nobody writing staff, can tell a better story than the original New York times best selling author. The scenery is beautifully done. The casting is diverse, but then they add a character woman to kill just to make a character development for one of the men… lady in the fridge trope? This is a poor addition to the book that also leads to obstacles later in the books. Many of the changes they took liberty to make, alter the course of the greater story arc for the worse. The changes will leave slow burn writing triumphs and travails on the wayside, for instant gratification brutal violence and added shoddy character building as subtle as an axe to the ribs. Plus making a show based on a book series that is ridiculously detailed, comes with really easy to follow details that are proven, why destroy that? For the love of god why would you have a reality tv producer make an epic story such as the wheel of time, he is ignoring the man that was the original Authors choice for carrying on his legacy and ruining it. As a long time fan of the books and super hopeful for the show, I sincerely hope they steer the show back on course to be at least as accurate to the books as game of thrones was. This level of divergence is boring and makes anyone who has any clue about the books lose interest.
