It was just a basic thing...The way lesbian love stories are usually made.... But it was very very depressing... You pick up a girl as usual the lesbian story goes she finds another one who makes her realize who she is and...she falls..and all.. But then...it's like really a typical tale of two girls living together and all that drama of normal life Adele being the housewife and all and the other one acting all manly and all.. & then with the the blue one breaks it off...with Adele..sending her to live alone and marries someone else... I mean it's sooo depressing with all happiness and sunshine just taking 30 mins of the movie..and rest of it is just a fight disagreements housewife husband fights kinda thing..and all of a sudden all that awakening dumped & then a lot of crying and very disturbing scenes of Adele approaching lea and hoping for reconciliation...very desperate...like it's soo hard to watch..a heart break to straight people hurt that much..being lesbian means having very limited options and then on the top of that ur lover runs away with someone else..after like getting you out of the closet... I couldn't imagine Adele's hurt.. it's soo depressing...and I am not even lesbian... Why would anybody make such a movie in the name of breaking social protocols...& They are all cliche exact same story line...Can't there be a fun lesbian movie...where two lesbian made lesbian jokes same sex jokes..around a conservative society married each other with pomp and show...and then lived happily ever after.r... Why there has to be an element of depression in them...can't such things be just happy... Watch it...if you can handle a aimless..mindless ...humourless ..and genderless story....and if u watch too much drama in the name of societal awakening where focus is all on the sadness, ...watch if u don't like happily ever afters......and if an hour long of a woman pining for freedom, indulgence, love, respect is ur thing go watch it... Otherwise don't watch...it's disturbing....if u can't handle a breakup...u would probably feel too sorry for Adele and very angry with lea character... All the while ..I don't know abt others....but I just thought can't it be a good light romcom and a thing that makes u happy...filmmakers ought to know one thing if someone watches a lesbian or gay movie they are already there to accept it and a normal lesbian story will also make a person think abt it..think abt freedom think abt struggle.... There doesn't have to be all that emotions weighting you down when u watch such things..... Make them worth watching a second time... :P
