The rebirth of this franchise. I have been a predator fan since the moment that unintelligible Austrian stud covered himself in mud and started directing traffic to the nearest helicopter. But I must admit, I always went into these movies knowing they would be sub-par in acting, cinematography, set design, etc. While I approached this film with the same expectation, I quickly realized this was a different animal all together. Prey was fun, exciting, immersive, and thrilling. More than anything it demonstrated that there is an elegant and exciting way to tell a story of empowerment without shoving it down your viewers throats. Best film on the franchise without question. Bravo.

Watching this moving is akin to biting into fried chicken only to find it filled with kale. Another director who has forgotten that you do not have to force feed your audience woke messages that are so overt the potted plants in my house got turned off. We get it, your insatiable need to be perceived as relevant and on the right side of history are more important to you than making a watchable movie. Closer to a PSA than an action movie, don't waste your time.
