It was so awesome! I was very weary that they would use too much CGI to make it look more modern but they kept a lot of the classic, old school, kinda cheesy but in a good way, effects! The only thing that I thought lacked was the end scene after he gets rid of the "bad guy". I thought there was a lot of build up for him to just get rid of her so easily and quickly. Otherwise, I loved the storyline, loved the acting, loved the characters! So happy they didn't ruin a classic childhood favorite of mine with a crappy sequel 💓

In my opinion the remake was somewhat disappointing. The songs were not done very well and were not as fun. Some of the acting was terrible, but not all the time which just threw me off. It was just too serious which was the most disappointing. The original is so silly and fun, it was funny and light hearted but did well with being serious when it needed to be. One good thing about the remake are the visual effects. It was very realistic and super cool to watch the Lions fighting in the fire. Another good thing was Timon and Pumbaa were just as fun and loveable as the first movie. I did like the few changes they made to the story line. In all I'd say it was ok but being that this was my favorite Disney movie of all time as a child, I was disappointed in the remake.
