I’m not aware of the comics as a show it tries to do way too many things at once. I have watched upto episode 5 and won’t waste any more time. The story has potential and if the world building was better or story telling was trying to impress people who never read the comics could be enjoyable. All fictions should be based in logic that rules and govern a world and should coherently adhere to it. Logic of a god for making humanity suffer is he didn’t feel like speaking for a century, no one comes to save him and the world of the chaos for 100 yrs, a god lost a part of him his sand and can’t even locate it, mortals can easily handle the objects that holds emmense power that God possess, Constentine is supposed to be a lovable rougue but wait a minute she killed the host of the demon in cold blood and talked about charging triple, she is so powerful that she pushed the dream lord to do something nice for her ex girl friend with her snappy attitude in 5 minutes but those two men failed to even get him to speak or promise one thing in 100 yrs. Btw why three tenses of fate reminds of three witches of Macbeth. Also, Encephalitis is not a made up disease. For one episode you have almost no sandman but it is like watching an American horror story. Draaaaag the things in a confusing and boring way. Representation diversity inclusion in this is ultra pro max level. I guess this is what happens when you get obsessed with a story for 30 yrs and finally make it when you have lost perspective. Never mind that crow is the most sensible creature in the show.

watch this show now. So we can watch season 2. This was addictive and was very impressive for a Netflix show.

The book probably does a lot better job but the show was terrible. Disappointing, full of incoherent events, gibberish terms that no one explains, unexplained maps and cultural differences. The full picture is never clear. The main characters possess less acting skill than the supporting characters. We are dropped into a climax of Alina's life with very few references to the past. I couldn't related to her disappointment, pain and love or fear. Bad story telling.

not worth your time. The movie is too glossy and sugar coated, as expected from Hollywood pieces. The actors were great but story and every character lacked dimensions. Queen Victoria was shown to be sad, self loathing yet caring, sweet old woman, her hunger for power and other aspects were completely discarded. Abdul was too comfy and jolly like he came down from a happy lala land. All the other character were like background noise and just served disruption in the plot. It lacked depth historically, politically and emotionally. It failed to show the true unrefined contradictions of emotions and reality that the story should have presented. Racism and impotency of royal system is showcased so deliberately for laughs or annoyance is beyond me. I so wanted it to succeed. But it rather is a irritating joke for people who expected substance from this movie.
