First off, I haven't watched every single on of the saw movies. I've seen a good portion of them but if my memory serves right it was hard to keep up with each of the movies and how complex the plot kept getting throughout each film. Spiral though, was a wonderful film to watch. Spiral keeps some concepts from past films but also adds a fresh new twist to its traps. I feel like everyone who got stuck in one of Williams traps genuinely deserved to be there, which is quite uncommon when you look back at a lot of jigsaws victims. Secondly, the plot was really easy to keep up with, my friend who had little to no knowledge of the saw franchise and was able to understand it completely. Another good thing about this movie is that it constantly brings back previous small notions of background scenes, making them seem more important and meaningful to the story
