9 Episodes totalling more than 10 hours, about a very uninteresting and unlikeable character, who steals from companies and hotels, rips off her friends with zero remorse, but who everyone seems to love and continually trust for no apparent reason. Also far too many political and ideological stances pushed in a not too subtle manner. I get that you (Shonda Rhimes) don't like Trump. I get that in your opinion women are always put down by men. Boohoo. I did enjoy the performance of Anna Chlumsky, until the last two episodes or so where she also just abandoned all reason, and her entire purpose became just to get the character "Anna" to like her. I suppose this series says far too little of substance, and takes far too long to say it.

I still remember the first time I watched this movie almost 15 years ago, and thinking "wow, that was interesting". I just watched it again, and I'm not disappointed. This movie isn't a scare a minute. But it is gripping all the way to the final "reveal". There is a great story in this movie. A genuinely terrifying story. I think the movie could have been made better, with greater care. The movie looks a little cheap. The acting could have been better. The final product could have been more polished. And i think a better movie could possibly have been made. Still an entertaining watch. Some good atmospheric build-up. And certainly one of the more memorable scary movies out there.

It was better than I expected. And considering the train wreck of TLJ they had to work with, it's understandable that the movie had so much (arguably too much) going on. Ben Solo was never meant to be the ultimate villain. So, even if Palpatine's return was in no way plausible or explained, they ultimately had no other choice following the death of Snoke earlier, and seeing as Palpatine had been the main villain in both previous trilogies. Luke Skywalker was redeemed from the previous film, and even though it was obviously fan service, I especially enjoyed the nice touch of Luke (finally) bringing an x-wing fighter out of the water using force levitation. The more boring characters remained in the background. And I think overall that ALL the characters were treated fairly and consistently. Perhaps the part where Rey turned out to be the granddaughter of the granddaddy of evil, is a little cringy. But it is still believable and ultimately adds to the story. Overall, I rate this movie by it's ability to be re-watched. I'd happily watch this multiple times. Something I can't about The Last Jedi or The Phantom Menace. It is a fun viewing....if you can get over yourself
