Gonjiam: Haunted Aslyum is a very well done movie. I see how it has such a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The characters are not so boxy and flat, they are extremely likable and make the film more authentic by having nice funny moments of friendly banter at first. the aspect of using found footage in this film instead of traditional filmmaking makes this movie 10x more frightening. The scares are well done and not sloppy. The plot is not anything new, found footage of a film crew going into a haunted building has been played out over and over again throughout the years, but this movie does an amazing job of keeping certain aspects of the film fresh and new. 8/10
