This is very heart touching and emotional story . The main character in this story is August(auggie).The one with facial differences.He was born with several birth defects. People used to stare at and make fun of him . His parents always protected him and his mother would give him  homeschooling. But things started to change when his mother enrolled him in a formal school. This book has also  shown the brutal reality of how society  treat people like August.In our society consciously or unconsciously sometimes we treat people like August in an unpleasant  manner  that could make a long-lasting impact on that person. The story has also shown the different perspective of different different characters like his sister, his sister's boyfriend and his friends. For instance his sister used to feel alienated in the house because her parents gave too much attention and priority that they didn't even realise that their daughter also need care and attention too. This novel teaches you to be kind to people like him. It also made us realise what would it feel like if we were in August's shoes. I think this book should be read by all people Thank you R.j Palacio for writing such a great novel
