The greatest video game movie adaptation in existence. Sure there's also Pokemon Detective Pikachu & Angry Birds 2, but in some points, cases & standards the Sonic film is much more bigger, higher, greater & overall superior. Plus whose the one getting the sequel in April 8, 2022. (Loved the trailer sequel that was shown off at game awards on December 9, of this month btw) You can definitely tell there's love put into this film. Much money thought, time & effort with a high budget. It's about good vs evil. Ying & Yang. Sonic The Hedgehog Vs Dr. Ivo Julian Eggman Robotnik. Hero vs Villain. A way to pay attention to detail is that Robotnik's Army, isn't just know & referred to Robots, or Drones. They are actually know as Badniks just like in the gemes, comics, anime, manga & tv shows, which is just so nice to know & add. As a hardcore Sonic fan of the franchise since Sega CD era, I absolutely worshiped & cherished the global all out, race final battle towards Sonic & Robotnik, across the planet/Globe. San Francisco, Paris, China, Egypt to Columbia Canada, is where they went face to face fighting in battle. Robotnik had, his Eggmobile, but it's know as the EggPod in this film, which is perfectly fine. It was phenomenal to me as it was equipped with an red laser, energy beam cannin blaster shooting & firing at Sonic all around the world but also had laser sights, & rocket/missiles for the final fight scene. It really put a smile on my face. What makes this more of a Sonic film is that Sonic has these giant teleportation, warp ring, to get him A to B, just like in the original 2d, games that are know as "A Giant Ring" to take you to special zones.it wouldn't be complete if Sonic didn't have a chili dog refrence it wouldn'tbe complete & the film did just that. It was Sonic's first chili dog. The music is was fitting & suiting, great CGI, full & packed with source material & Easter eggs, fair amount explosion, & action & in the end we get a much more accurate looking Robotnik, & a post credit scene of Miles Tails Prower. It's a decent film for the general public & average audience but us Sonic fans love it so much more & the sequel is going to be even better, successful, & more promising & in terms of reviews & ratings. Going to see the sequel on opening day.
