A proper mixed bag! I wanted so badly for this to be good. Unfortunately it wasn't. I must say though, learning that the budget was only £80k, they did in fact do a pretty good job of the production. The uniforms and flight gear was very authentic, and they done a pretty good job with the models and CGI for what little flying scenes there was in the movie. But the majority of the film was filmed either in the mess or in the pub, and despite some fairly solid acting, the actors just couldn't carry such a poor script for such a long length of time. By the time they did finally get airbourne the movie had became so painfully slow and boring that I was having trouble rallying any real enthusiasm for the mission, then before you knew it the film had ended in a rather bizare fashion. It left me feeling very disappointed. Yes, for the budget they done really well on the production, but it was let down terribly by a very boring story line which occupied 90% of the movies running time. They should have got a professional writer to write a more captivating script!
