The game ticks the below boxes for me:
- Great Main Storyline
- Guns
- Variety of side quests
And the above would have been enough had I not know what CDPR was trying to achieve or sell (according to the expectations they created and no one else). The cut content (ie wall climbing, vehicle customization and much more) can be felt in the game, through a hollow experience and rooms entered through bugs that show what could have been.
I personally bought the game on release and held back after clearing 30 percent of the story line and giving a good 30 hours of gamplay, but I just could not continue any further because of the buggy mess that it was, and with me being in the Dev industry I know and appreciate the effort required in creating a masterpiece. So I held off until CDPR itself announced after the patch 1.23 that they had reached a satisfactory level of the game.
The police AI is still a mess, and very annoying at that. To compensate for the bugs the world is a ghost town and roads have little to no traffic. Lifepaths are almost non-essential to the game other than few conversation options.
The game still feels vey incomplete and I am still having a little blind hope that CDPR can try to redeem themselves through DLCs and any new possible content to scratch the itch of what they promised us.
