She’s the soul of Poland and her father was nazi Germany. He’s the citizenry of Poland trying to find a new home without losing its soul. Amazingly accurate. The music and dance are the the heart of Poland. Trying to keep Poland true and not succeeding (looking for a new home and trying to rework their own home) ends the movie with the inevitable.
