After watching the film and of course loving it, it made me realize that serial killers are very similar to one another, no matter their race, religion, and country of origin.

Overall: worth a look. Central characters are generally interesting, although the Canadian detective is a stereotype. The detective cases using his intuition. The Premise (husband and father wanting to spend more time with his family and protect them so he heroically takes on the big boss. awesome. As each plot unfolds, it becomes apparent that the Mennonite fictional community has more crime than anyone could have imagined. Noah's wife and daughter, of course, become involved in some of these crimes. Best just to forget this backstory, because the only reason it's in the show seems to be so that the detective can call on a former HS girlfriend's husband whenever he needs to uncover the corruption in the Mennonite community.

There is nothing better than a few downsized prehistoric lizards, a sluggish evolving hurricane, and the indelible spirit of two individuals to create a decent summer 1 1/2 hour nerve wracking distraction that at least worked for me. Just the water alone is frightening enough to have sent chills down my spine or at least for those with the dreadful fear of drowning or being eaten alive by some underwater dwelling creature. Well done.

I loved the film then and still love it now, plus the music was OMG... unforgettable. In addition, this film goes as far as to show us that you can find love even in the most unexpected of places. So, if you like a touch of romance, with a dab of laughter, and good character chemistry then I recommend Mannequin.

All I can say is why now... thirty three years later? Don't get me wrong I love Rambo, but it should been filmed at least sometime in the 90's; even Rambo should know when to call it quits. However, I do think a GIF from Rambo first blood combined with Rambo last blood is in order.
