HONESTLY IT WAS AMAZING. They worked really well with the source material, they put a lot of work into intricately developing the characters and story. It's an adaptation of the second age and they executed it very well considering they only had timelines and a section of the Silmarilion to work with but they wove it into a beautiful pattern resembling many of Tolkiens themes of love, hope, perseverance, friendship and overall combating darkness in dire times. All the characters are interesting and after the first episode it leaves you in awe of what is going to happen next. The entire thing is visually stunning. Don't listen to the one Star reviews they are a bunch of Tolkien purists who are racist and closed minded and can't understand that this is an adaptation for us to enjoy and be transported to a world that we hold so dear to our hearts. Everything is perfect don't sleep on it.

Amazing. From the political intrigue, the bloody warfare, the strategic council meetings, the tourneys, the murder, Martin's theme of complex characters that are capable of doing both good and evil, the excellent story telling, staying true to the source material, I don't know where to begin. The gore, from chopping of hands, or other sensitive body parts...cough cough...the episode was a taste of Game Of Thrones and what it could have been. Paying homage to our queen Daenerys in the beginning. introducing the Prince that was Promised arc, as a means to fix season 8 of GOT was absolutely brilliantly executed. I can taste George RR Martins influence in every scene. A huge win for HBO.

Alluring, exquisite, unique, this movie kept me interested throughout with its dramatic build up, and plot twists and intelligent writing, written in such a way that it kept me interested throughout, like i was watching the lives of real people. Exquisitely paced and balanced out drama, this movie is a must watch
