This game is fun as hell. Almost every aspect is good about it. Characters that the world will forever recognize, and having fun with the majority of players. Smash is one of those universal games. No matter where you are from or what you look like, You’ve most likely played this game at least once. The only problem that this game has is just overall game play and online play. There are certain characters that are just too powerful that’ll definitely ruin the experience unless you are way too good at the game. But if you are too good, then you will ruin other people’s experience (including your friends and family) while they are trying to play recreationally. For example; When I play with other people locally and online I always bump into another player with 3000+ hours put into the game and I always get decimated within half a second and lose the match. As of right now, I personally have 140 hours put into the game and I’ve won only 43 online and local wireless matches and I’m not even trying to sweat. When I play any video game I just want to have fun and escape the real world, not to worry about and get upset over someone who really needs to know what “Take a break” or “Take a shower” means. When you lose, you may say “You are too good.” And then they’ll end up replying with: “Then get better.” Sorry 30 year old that lives in their parent’s basement, that 7 year old cannot get better if you keep preventing him from even playing his game. The second thing that needs work on the most is online play. I don’t know why but it constantly disconnects and crashes. I’ll be half way through a fight and all players will start lagging and will be unable to move. This lag is constantly cutting in and out. Sometimes you may be able to count the FPS while waiting for the game to clear up so everyone can continue. This game does get updates that fix and balance the characters so that does fix some things. I don’t think the online play problem has ever been properly addressed since release so that really irritates the entire community. Besides these two issues, I implore you to get this game. You will definitely have a blast playing Smash with your friends and family. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is definitely still on my top fighting game lists and is a Must Have for your Nintendo Switch. I hope to meet you in the fight someday. :)
