Another Life is sifi, which is typically one of my favorite genres. This is the general plot: An alien artifact lands on earth one day, so they send out a team in space to find out if the aliens have good intentions or not. So initially, the cast isn't really that likable, and with "that guy" that tried to take over for no good reason, it wasn't really a good start to the show. *(s) for spoiler next sentence* With all that said, if you're willing to look passed a couple plot holes and a random orgy in space. (Which was actually entertaining, even though it was out of place). (s) They throw in a random pregnancy even though the crew are all supposed to be sterile, and then kill her off... I could go on with all the "out there" plot choices. Instead I'll say that the show was all together crazy, fun and different showing you beautiful scenery and different worlds. With characters that actually do really start to stand out, Like Eric the husband (guy from Shameless) he was very likeable from the start. The dynamic between Richard and Niko (season 2) was on point. William (Pink from Doctor Who, just wondering who else noticed) was actually witty and funny. In all, the show isn't perfect, but it's unexpected and it take you on a journey... to where I couldn't tell you.(s) Just like I couldn't tell you how the Achaians were made, or there motive for wanting to enslave the earth. Give the show a chance with an opened mind, you might like where it takes you.
