What I liked was the simplicity of telling a tale of an honest security gaurd who tries to help people by employing the right ethical codes of law and order but gets trapped by the very system.
Why?
All he did was to save people from a bomb blast! An act that made him a hero by media...but then the very same media along with the law & order guys tagg him to be a bomb planter!! Based on just some kinda heresay!! Without any tangible proof!
It is such a relevant theme ain't it? The world today, is seen by most of us as it is woven by the few who have the power to make us perceive exactly the way they want! Who cares for what's the truth! You are what you are made out to be!
Hats off to Clint Eastwood to tell this story in an authentic manner punctuated by some memorable "moments" my favourite being when Richard's mother locks herself up in the bathroom and realising his outrage, Richard calling her to come out...such a heavy moment
for introspection. This is where the Director makes us see, what's unseen!...he makes us think!
Kudos! Please watch this film.
