This movie was superb. I think the entire cast did an excellent job,as well as the director and cinematographer. However, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer turned in two of the most impeccable performances I've ever seen.

Excellent film. Sidney Poitier, Harry Belafonte and Ruby Dee all turn in stellar performances. Sonny Terry and Brownie McGee on the soundtrack elevate it far beyond your typical western, as does the plot itself.

The first album from a true rock n roll icon. Those of us born after the 50s will never quite appreciate how revolutionary it was, but it still speaks volumes to anyone with soul.

I had no idea this genre even existed, but the back cover made it sound weird enough to give it a try. (I got it for a buck at a flea market). I was more than pleasantly surprised at Belchers style and skill in pulling off such an improbable plot. He obviously knows his mythology, which is a huge plus in my eyes. I'm looking forward to reading more of his books !
