One of those rare moments were a video game adaptation film is done right. Both Sonic and Dr Robotnik are done perfectly with how there portrayed in the film and each subtle nod in the opening and ending segments felt like they could easily fit in the Sonic meta across the gaming franchise. As someone who grew up with the genesis and master system this film was perfect as an origin story.
