Not a film for pearl clutchers. If it werent so "vulgar" it would be a classic. Michael Caine is brilliant as is Kate Winslet. Geoffrey Rush is delightfully devilish, probably my favorite performance of his. While Joaquin Phoenix is one of my favorite contemporary actors I think he was still working out some of his acting kinks (no pun intended) he struck me as a little stiff here. (again, no pun intended 😉 )

Lots of nods to Amityville Horror. The voiceovers were not bad like most dubbed films. Scared the hell out of me!
