Normally, I don’t write reviews, but this book is really disappointing. I don’t understand why the book is classified as a “thriller” or “psychological”. A lot of the characters are honestly annoying to read about. I understand that characters are meant to have character flaws but these characters consistently stay self absorbed and have no character development. Some of the characters are extremely interesting and deal with heavy emotions and pasts, however, the author chooses not to explore these characters and instead focuses on the one dimensional ones. The conclusion of the book was also very unsatisfactory. It was rushed, predictable and unsatisfying. You spend so long reading this book and you keep reading it because you hope something exciting will happen or there will be a twist, but there never is. If you like a book with multiple perspectives, you will for sure like this book!! BUT if you’re looking for a thriller/ mystery this book is not it. It’s more about characters finding their own inner peace

While this movie has an amazing cast, the story was hard to follow. The different timelines were hard to comprehend as the actors weren’t portrayed as any younger or older. The sisters were shown in the movie as similar in age, so younger siblings like Amy having a tantrum didn’t seem childlike but rather immature. Overall, the scenes didn’t flow together and was disjointed. One moment, Laurie is confessing his love for Jo and then shortly after he is married to Amy. The viewer is left to fill in the holes and wonder how Amy and Lauries relationship started, especially since the film never shows any deep emotional/ love connection between the two of them. Other characters like Meg and Beth are also left out in this film. However, the film was still enjoyable to watch. It’s heartwarming to see the bond between four sisters and a strong family bond. It teaches an important lesson about love and chasing after your dreams.
