At first I thought “Groundhog Day” premise but after the first episode I was pulled into the main character’s crisis, the conflicts she has within herself: her past and her take on “how to do life, miserably”. I started one episode around 10pm and finished all of them at 3am. I didn’t mean to binge watch but that is how excellent the story flows and draws you in.
Also there is a large appreciation for art, culture, music, and New York quips and attitudes. In some ways that aspect of life, is forced on to the screen like neon lights and Central Park but in other ways it done with delicate touches, like the historic buildings found in Jewish neighborhoods of NYC. I enjoyed the culture envelope of this show as much as I enjoyed the story telling and plot lines.
This show can be watched like a movie, although a little long. I found myself hoping Nadia would solve the puzzles and navigate the labyrinth for the sake of mental well being and human connection.
