I will try to not give any spoilers here. Overall, the T: Dark Fate was good, but nothing will beat T2. T2 set the bar for any action movie after it and is still the best action movie of all time. If you are a fan of the original T2, then you should at least watch it. Here is the breakdown of the casting...
Linda Hamilton and Arnold: Great to see these two together again. Still bringing it at their age.
Mackenzie Davis as Grace: Initially I thought she had too much of a baby face for the role, but she did a really good job. It was her height and acting that made it believable that she can kick b*tt. I didn't like the fact that she had a bowl hair-cut. It would have been better if she had slicked back short hair like Sharon Stone. However, like what Linda Hamilton did for her original role, they should have kept Grace's hair long or shoulder length.
Gabriel Luna as Rev 9: Again, too much of a baby face and his face isn't angular enough to make him a mean machine. His action sequence is good, but I cannot get over his baby face. Nothing compares to Robert Patrick as T-1000. Whoever casted Robert for that T2 role did such a great job. Looking at Robert run as T-1000 gives me the heebie-jeebies.
Natalia Reyes as Dani: This is the worse casting for this role. Her face is another baby face and she is so small in stature that it is not believable at all. Her acting was poor and she continually overacted in most, if not all of the scenes. There was a scene where she should have been looking rough and tough, but they had too much make-up on her which was not believable AT ALL.
Tim Miller as the Director: This guy is no James Cameron. Overall the action sequences were really good with the digital stuff. However, like I said, he is no Cameron. I actually watch these two interviewed and Tim seams like a duche, using foul languages left and right for no reason. The guy seems a little pompous and full of himself. James have so much more class than this guy. I digress.
Overall the movie was good, but it could have left the politics out of it. It used to be a little more subtle, nowadays it is just being pushed down our throats. I went to the movie to get away from the day to day stuff (including politics) and would just like to be entertained. If I wanted to go watch something political then I would have watched a movie based on history or a president. Hollywood needs to stop it and just put thing out there that for pure entertainment. It was littered with political/woke stuff. The reason Linda Hamilton worked in T2 was that it was just trying to tell a story and non of this current affairs stuff. I felt like I was tricked. Just an FYI for you guys who haven't watched the movie yet.
