This is a brilliant film that people are taking too literal. This is a film about a fantasy. People keep saying it’s so wrong and he’s raping her and women shouldn’t want this and that. It’s wrong, it’s about a fantasy that all of us women have, about a man taking full control, being protective, and teasing however ONLY with a trusting person. So because he said it won’t touch you until you ask me to’ even though it’s killing him inside is perfect. I personally would love this but psychically can not find anybody I trust enough or who is man enough to try and ever take control with me. The MASSIVE accept ion to his behaviour is that he can be TRUSTED. It would be different if he was an agressive, rapist, beating abuser that’s different but due to him being gentle (ish) and trusted and he actually sticks to his words, even through how much lust is in his body for her, is something all women fantasise about no matter what! If I come across a man who I trust fully & who has my best intensions at heart (in regards to safety) and who took that control over me (for once) then it would be my dream come true. I think people are being way too critical, nobody’s remembering that just like 50 shades of grey it is purely based on Womens fantasies. Excellent film, I watched it 7/8 times over 3 days.
