Jack & Alyssa are the least interesting characters by a solid mile, which is a shame because they're nominally the main characters. I'm sorry, show, but you will never convince me that these two are a Great Tragic Romance. Although it's consistent with their characterization necause Alyssa is a terrible judge of character and Jack is just kind of an idiot, socially, so there's that. The show is super watchable, though it's at it's best when it lets itself be funny. It's the most realistic i think i've seen as far as "regular people, most of them undergrads, get magic and are part of a secret society". Nobody is hypercompetent, everybody makes mistakes consistent with their ages and personalities, and they talk like actual people. Lillith, Vera and Danielle are the standouts and it's worth watching just for them, in my opinion.
