Just an entertaining movie about some scallywag pirates. What’s not to like? People need to stop with their negative critiques and enjoy a few hours with the family and laugh a little. I was scared given the dismal 10% positive reviews on rotten tomatoes but those are overstated and perplexing. It’s not supposed to be an Oscar worthy picture just fun and silly and a break from life, a farce-fantasy, if you will. Acting is surprisingly decent. It has Some nice artistic scenes, which you can tell they spend a lot of money on, and you can laugh at Katrina Kaif and her undulations. The fight scenes, although not always believable, were entertaining and you could tell they practiced and worked hard with the sword and arrows because they actually used them properly (unlike Padmawaat). The heroes of the film, who save Hindostan, are Muslim characters, maybe that had something to do with the bad reviews—after all India is weird like that. My non desi husband enjoyed the movie. Live a little and go see it. Spending a few hours and a few bucks with your family and friends won’t ruin your life.
