"A Star is Born" is a recently released film starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. I cannot begin to explain the intensity and emotion I felt whilst watching this movie with my eyes glued to the screen. Bradley Cooper (also one of the main actors) truly outdid himself when directing this movie and people were rushing to the cinema and raving about this 1970's remake before it was even released on October 4th this year. The film tells of a successful singer, songwriter (Bradley Cooper) who falls in love with an ordinary aspiring singer (Lady Gaga). Whilst Lady Gaga blesses us with her magnificent voice and rises to fame, Bradley Cooper deals with personal struggles that he is unable to contain. I personally enjoyed the film especially as I got to see one of my favourite artists sing out loud various songs although as a younger viewer I did find certain parts boring and found it difficult to find the movie entertaining as the plot struggled to get a move on. I did find that with the cinematography, there wasn't much use of different camera angles and techniques such as special effects, montages etc. I completely fell in love with Lady Gaga's character and not just because of her outstanding voice but because she had a generally kind, caring yet wild persona. Bradley Cooper's character however, I struggled to connect with mostly because of the way he would treat Lady Gaga in various parts of the film and how he put no effort in trying to get past his personal struggles. Overall I would reccomend checking out this film if you're a young adult and above as I believe you would enjoy and may be able to relate to this movie on a higher level than say, a teenager or child.
