A tremendous read that is insightful, nuanced and accessible. Examines cynicism that is a product of macro-economic restructuring, job flight...and how that breads an insecurity that reduces confidence in our organizations as well as ourselves, in turn limiting opportunities for progressive change. Particularly impressed with how the author takes a single theme and keeps it fresh throughout the entire work by incorporating a wide variety of perspectives and applying it to a number of different contemporary issues related to organizational life. The book is about 300 pages, but is so well-written and organized that I was able to read it in about two days. Couldn't put it down.
