Super classic one of the best for one-liner insults ralph "over my dead body" Norton, "what do you think I am a mountain climber"?? Usually shows back then and now over-idealize the American experience, people living in apartments they could never afford with the salaries the character makes on the show, or they all have high-paying prestigious jobs, this show on the other hand is very real.

Very obscure but funny and well-acted show.The funniest character is peter tong, Bently Greggs house boy in fact the funniest scenes are with him, Gregg is a bachelor,as the title says, and he seems to date every good looking young female in the county but his dates never seem to go beyond dinner, not so much as a kiss, and there is never a second date, are we looking at the first closeted gay character on tv??

I didn't think I would like this show but the stories are very good and the acting is top-notch. Yes the parents are over idealized and jane with that snooty accent of hers but the kids are very acutely portrayed, they really do act and interact with each other like siblings would.

Forgotten all about this show until antenna tv started airing them, Can't say much about it, its pretty dumb and stunningly unfunny, basically a British equivalent to hee-haw.At least hee haw had some good singers as guests.
