I really, really, really wanted to like this program. Let's face it: Nike apps, Wanda sykes, and Kim Fields are icons of black cinema. Yet despite doing their best with their talents, this show is just not up on their level. After Good Times, The Cosby Show, Family Matters, My Wife and Kids, Blackish, and even Family Reunion, the show seems cliche and the jokes are as generic and canned as that sad laugh track. You would think that two comedians, legendary veteran comedians at that, who have toured across the country, would be able to carry a show without a laugh track. In the first episode, Mom A is baking cupcakes for her teenage daughter's birthday party while Mom B is serving ganja brownies for her 13 year old son's birthday. Yes, the protagonist father has two baby mamas with kids the same age because he impregnated one while his assumed wife was "on break". In this age of strong Black women and Me Too, this is the best we could come up with? I want to give it a try because of who is in it, but I'm so far not in love. Sorry, not sorry!
