Didn’t think I would like this show. Title didn’t attract me. My fiancée convinced me, and we basically binged it. I love the intersectionality and representation of BIPOC. The different controversies the show touches on is perfect. Drama doesn’t get too deep, which I prefer. It fizzles out and the characters move on. Just the right amount of real world problem approach and humor. I think the show would definitely benefit from a bit of expansion into the LGBTQIA+ Community, especially introducing trans characters as strong supporting females. I also think that the show should strengthen BIPOC representation too. Definitely love love love the emphasis on female issues for today’s generation, spanning across the board from race to sexual orientation. Highly relatable, even to women who have never been to college. Oh, and the dark humor is definitely reaching its audience. My partner and I are looking forward to season 2. 😊
