After yet again falling for buying the latest Reacher instalment ( another broken promise to myself from four books ago ) I’m left feeling cheated and newly resolute that this is the last time. Lee Child has clearly and unapologetically treated the avid Reacher fan with contempt. The cash will do, I’ve had my two movie cameos, introduced a family member into the fray and can pump out complete garbage, knowing ( like me ) the long held appeal and buy in from the Reacher fans will hold water. I won’t go into detail on this latest nonsense, there are far too many things to insert here. However, I feel it needs to now be said as an example that Jack has come through 20 odd books and incredible amounts of contacts, at the highest level, shown amazing intelligence, guile, adaptability, etc yet still doesn’t know how to use a mobile phone?
