Tone of poem means the mood and feeling of poet throughout poem. It appears to be bitter , sarcastic and revengeful. Ahe is revengeful to a man , a father who is equated to demon in poem. Example when she rises from the ashes, she will consume men as fire does; she will return from death like the sphinx and eat men like vampire, or fire. It is psychologically and symbolically about the aspiration to revenge.
