Even though I am enjoying watching this drama, I still find some of the scenes pretty unrealistic. Do such misunderstandings occur in real life? The other thing is that I have gotten quite attached to the actors and actresses so after reading reviews by others and learning that season one ends with a disagreement between the leads, I am tempted to stop watching until Netflix releases Season 2. I love happy endings when I watch fiction. If there is a season 2, it should be added quickly to make the story complete.

I find the series quite enjoyable in spite of the unrealistic lines and behaviour of the characters. This father that came out of prison and vowed to watch over the daughter that he gave up as a baby, from a distance, then proceeds to get close and personal, becoming involved in all her issues. The daughter that after discovering the father convinced him to remain around her, promising that her behaviour and actions would not change, and that she would make sure that the relationship is not discovered, then proceeds to go everywhere with him, walking arm in arm in public places and visiting his room late at night. etc, etc. why make them act so silly? Do-ran's shameless mother who gets conned, does not learn her lesson and gets conned again, with her blatant discrimination against Do-ran and unrepentant greed. All the gossips, nosy characters and unbelievable hatred....., especially Do-ran's mother in law and Da-ya.... But I suppose the plot requires most of the characters to be unusually nasty, irresponsible and unwise. In the end, good prevailed over the not so good, so I enjoyed watching to the end.

A story about bravely taking a stand against violence and protecting the weak. I just had to stay up to complete watching up to the end of the final episode. Great acting by all - even the tear shedding was believable and not too extreme. Sometimes, I watch movies and ask why certain lines were written in the script, but I never got that feeling at any point while watching all 16 episodes. The storyline also gave me a good appreciation of the skills of the translators who make it possible for non-Koreans such as me, to enjoy Korean films and series. I must say that Siwan looks so much younger than his age. I hope to see more of him.

Although I found the storyline interesting and enjoyed watching this drama, i did not find the characters very endearing - except the Kang Seo-ul, Yoon Eunso and Cha Dal Bong characters, until I got to the final few episodes. With the father character apologising to everyone, a most annoying aunt yelling at everyone and always making things worse, blabbermouth cousins, unpleasant rich people, insensitive children/siblings, a grandfather comfortable with his granddaughter leaving alone to the city to marry someone based on a promise made by a stranger in her early teenage years, and everyone beating up on the youngest son, the characters seemed rather exaggerated from the start. What I really loved was the humour - I had many deep belly laughs at many of the incidents. And of course, the illness and death of the father in the end was very touching.

I have enjoyed this drama to a large extent. I found the lead actor irritating in the earlier episodes and found the lead actress annoying in the later episodes I don't get the character played by the heroine. Why give the lad such a hard time when you are still in love with him? And after telling him you want to break up, you act like the breakup was his fault? Why ask to break up when you don't mean it? Anyway, I suppose that it is meant to be part of the plot, and despite these questions, it is still a nice story and I couldn't stop watching till the end.
