First of all, the mother was a straight up queer coded (lesbian) main character who they gave a dead husband to in the first 4 minutes, only to not talk about him the rest of the movie. WHAT WAS THE REASON Also, none of the characters are likeable at all. The characters dont connect with eachother, the once creepy atmosphere of the originals was replaced with cheap jump scares every 5 minutes, and the script is B A D. Sure the gore was good, but the ending is the biggest insult to horror fans I've ever seen. I literal spit in the face for buying a ticket to see it. This movie is an absolute joke please save your money and rewatch Sarah Michelle Gellar in her cute huge turtleneck at home.
