Agosu Ayomide (AY)

I just found this show on "Prime". I like shows about the sea and the adventures of such a coastal patrol ship. After the first few episodes, we realized that this show, in no way, could be showing the true life on an Australian Navy "War" ship. The lack of discipline and violation of just about every procedure known to a Seaman Basic or even a private boater is blatant. So knowing that this very much a McHales Navy depiction of the Australian Navy, we have continued to watch the bumbling of the Hammersley Crew for the comedic value. We must admit there have been some episodes that had good drama and were excitin. I trust the actual Australian Navy was and continues to be, completely embarrassed by this production, from the sloppiness of uniforms and haircuts, the lack of procedure and tactics, to the hesitancy to return fire when someone is shooting an AK-47 at their Zodiac.
