It started off so well, I was very intrigued and was excited to see what would happen next after the 20 minute prologue. It seemed to take a new direction with the plot, but I was still interested... 90 minutes in however, the film is dragging, nothing seems to be happening and I've pretty much lost interest altogether. It's just gotten slow and boring, and taken yet another turn in the plot that leads to cultists and it just didn't sit well with me- the plot was going so well with it being some creepy "game" that summons a creature and now it's all about weird cults. I started browsing reviews and saw people commenting that the last 30 minutes sucked so I ended up turning it off with almost an hour left. If I think it's pants now I'm not gonna waste any more time 🥲

My expectations were high after seeing all the raving reviews, but this movie honestly dragged so much for me. It felt unnecessarily long, and slow- I expected more ghosty action but it felt like nothing other than doors occasionally creaking open. A lot of the "scares" were predictable and tropy. Ending was decent but I had long lost interest in the movie by then.

Bad acting, with a lazy story that is so dull and boring it makes the movie pretty forgettable overall. We never actually see anything happen to the characters; it always cuts away before anything remotely interesting happens making it incredibly disjointed, and it seriously overused the "it was all a dream" concept. The movie comes across as majorly low-budget, I was surprised to see that it wasnt made by a bunch of college students...
