Started out promising but the writing got more and more hamfisted as the series progressed, culminating in a laughably written and poorly acted finale the likes of which I’ve never seen.

Wow….what did I just watch? Was this a joke? I’m upset I have to assign at least 1 star to this movie. I was so looking forward to this new James Wan film because I think his other works are genius. But this movie is so much worse than I could ever have dreamt possible. The acting and dialogue were ATROCIOUS…like fake movie within a movie bad…so many times throughout this movie I thought we were going to jump the shark and realize that our protagonist was just watching a bad TV movie. But no. This is the real movie that James Wan wanted us to see, and the depths of its crapulence are unimaginable. The reviews saying this movie deserves negative stars are all on point, and I’m convinced that any positive reviews HAVE to be the work of fake critics being paid by the studios.
