Performances by Chadwick and Viola were great, that's about it. With all the hype I expected more, I was completely unaware this was based off one recording session. I was looking forward to more musical performances and less chatter. The movie seemed more about fictional character Levee played by Chadwick, which brings up another issue. I'm absolutely exhausted by the hardships and oppression storylines in movies explained by Levee with the incident with his mother and the KKK. Why?!?
