I saw that this movie was rated tops in the USA so I decided to give it a watch. I must say it didn’t live up to the expectations I had thought it might based on it being the most watched movie on Netflix. I just felt there were no true climactic parts and that it got to be boring after a while. I get that it’s a great depiction of life in the inner city—and I definitely give the actors a ton of credit for doing an amazing job portraying their characters. I mean honestly they did an amazing job and made it so believable. I just felt the story line really didn’t keep me wanting to watch and got to be monotonous. The production and camera work was phenomenal. I just wish the directing and writing was a lot better. 7 out of 10.

This movie was ranked top in the US when I watched it. I must say I was expecting more from it. With that being said, reading the reviews I don’t agree with the majority of them that bash this film. It kept me entertained and curious. Yes it was predictable at times and sometimes corny. But there were strong lead acting roles, great cinematography, and a decent job of production. The supporting roles did not do well, the story line could have been made much better, and directing could have made it an easier movie to watch. For someone that can be very harsh and critical of movies, I actually gave this a 7 out of 10.

Wow. What to say. One of the worst movies I’ve seen. I hate being critical and bashing things but I really disliked this movie. With so many end of the world/zombie like apocalyptic movies available I’d say don’t waste your time on this one. I’m disappointed in Pine’s performance. He usually does a great job. Very confusing, slow, random, boring story line. Ending was awful. Directing and production weren’t good at all. Effects were the only bright spot if I could find one. 3 out of 10.

This creepy futuristic approach on a society that’s been torn by an illness that causes some of the population to have superhuman powers which in turn cause the rest of society to treat them like monsters or “freaks” is an awesome film and a great watch! All of the acting was strong and the directing and story line were great. Production was subpar and effects could have been much better. I’d say this is a must watch for sci-fi people and even those that don’t typically go for this type of movie(like myself). There’s no denying a strong film. 7.5 out of 10.

This action movie has the bones to be an awesome film, but unfortunately the production and directing didn’t allow that to happen. With such a star cast at their disposal I’m saddened to say this was a forgettable poor quality film. The bright spot of the film was Gerard Butler just as anyone would assume. He lives up to his standards of being a great actor in this type of role. I’d say give it a shot and watch it but it’s dragged out and felt even longer than it is(and it’s long). 5 out of 10.
