It was a decent series for the most part that marked the issues of religion and why Jesus Christ was against religious systems. It’s about a relationship with God.
But I give this one star because showcased these issues of false doctrines and what Christians should be guarded on but this was also a whole series on attacking Catholicism and Christianity as a whole as religious zealots. It was the ending monologue that spoke of universalism and being one with nature and the universe that really cemented my thoughts on this series. Jesus is the only way to eternal life and this does nothing but reinforce the awful thoughts of modern day faith. God does make miracles in our lives possible but we need to keep in mind we live in a time of grace through faith primarily.
That being said, people will see what they want to see like the priest believing that the demon/nephalim/vampire creature was an angel because it killed him and brought him back to life and transported that creature back to the island he preached and gave the congregation the demons blood to drink which cured their ailments and made them undead. Great acting on the part of the awful sister lady who played a great modern day Pharisee. But this Antichrist agenda on all of Netflix’s programs is awful and you wonder why society is on a downhill spiral. People will glorify this show and cuties as stunning and brave but say that the Bible is hate speech when they completely miss the mark because of the Catholic Church or poor teachers of the faith.
