The FNAF movie is definitley for the fans! Most bad reviews i see are just adults that are bumhurt that the movie isnt R18-scary, and dont provide any valid criticism other than that it "isnt as scary as the source material"
This movie is very cleverly made with incredible acting from the main characters, most notably Josh Hutcherson and Elizabeth Lail who showed amazing character development and truly gave off their feelings of desperation. The lighting in this movie was also amazing including the soundtrack, which I have LOVED. The Jim Henson company did an extraordinary job on the animatronics and truly bringing the characters to life and Scott Cawthon and Emma Tammi wrote an amazing story for the film. Only cons with the movie is that there was not enough reference to the FNAF 1 gameplay, i would have loved to see more camera stuff like in the games, and they also did not include freddy fazbears Music box which i was super excited to see. In fact, freddy, being my favourite fnaf character did not have nearly enough screen time in my opinion and it was dominated more by chica and foxy and Cupcake.
To get a true reading on the quality of the film it is definitley best to wait for the audience reviews, we already know critics hate video game adaptations as apparent with the Super Mario Movie having an extremely low Critic score but massive audience rating. And the critics are a bunch of manchildren anyways who were expecting something they would so obviously not get in the movie.
