Not many directors are brave enough to bring in light the harsh politics, brutal realities of the society. I'm not surprised, not many liked this film and i guess that is success, the message did hit the target. Often termed as 'pseudo-liberals' the crowd with brain and knowledge did infact appreciate the film.
It's funny how Kashmir files is gaining such popularity when it was most definitely 'for the Hindus, against the Muslims' if this is supposed to be the opposite (though neither of them are) and this film just basically have piles of hate comment. I guess that's what it is about, our society has infact always been inclined towards 'the divine hindus being threatened by an alien crowd'
How rightly said "the ones who stayed during partition aspired to be a part of a secular state, not a hindu nation". Guess since 2014 preamble had been nothing but a void.
Hats off aparna sen 👏👏👏
