if you compare the film to original movie. you're not gonna be amazed. but at the time this movie came out i was a pre-teen. loving disney channel and the disney channel original movies. i wouldn't call it a sequal but more of a disney channel ramake. it's a good movie if you love the disney channel movies as the formula disney uses and the 2nd movie used are very same. and they even had like 90% of actors who have been in a disney show/movie. so i dont think it was a bad movie.
