Perturbing, atmospheric, ominous, immersive ost, and unique controller feedback features on the PS5. Stunning Lovecraftian and sci-fi weapon/monster/world design. Beautiful graphics and unique geometric attack patterns. This is definitely one of my favorite games ever. I don't usually like rogue-like/lite games, but Returnal scratches an itch I never knew I had. All I need now is a capable graphics card to handle the game as it's quite demanding.

My rating is biased because of nostalgic value, but this game was a great mix of horror and humor. It was definitely more scary than funny, however, at its time. Violent. Awesome. Great level designs and enemies with secrets and easter eggs scattered throughout. I was streaming this once upon a time and a viewer informed me that the languages the cultist used were derived from Sanskrit, French, and Latin. Neat.

I hope you like rocks. This solid, souls-like Metroidvania has a dark and gritty feel. I'm also reminded of "The Swapper" and "Scorn" when I play this game. You can harvest most enemies to access new passive abilities for the playstyle of your liking along with various weapons. The cool thing about the weapons is that you can use them even if you don't meet the stats required for their full potential. GRIME is worth a playthrough.

A very worthwhile metroidvania with an OUTSTANDING OST. The soundtrack alters between a major and minor scale when you alternate between the world of the living and the afterlife. Which is a lovely touch, besides being an essential mechanic. Some cool easter eggs and humor along the way. Steam Workshop and the community have made a variety of neat skins for your characters to keep things fun. Turbo championship adds additional challenge rooms to perfect your art of the lucha and lay the smackdown on los demonios. For the record, I've completed this game on a different platform, hence the low playtime on Steam.
