***SPOILERS***
There's nothing worse than someone specifically not enlightened, thinking they are enlightened.
Amy has a breakdown at work and as a result, goes to some sort of facility in HI for treatment. (We don't know what her treatment was. We see her only swimming with a turtle while at the facility.)
She returns home and thinks she is going to get her job back, after she had threatened to kill people at work. She subtly blackmails HR into giving her a job by insinuating she'll sue them if they don't put her back to work.
They give her a job in the basement of the corporation doing data entry. Because that's what they do with people they, rightly, want to get rid of. Unable to buy a clue=not enlightened, Amy continues to hound the coworkers in the department she used to work in. She whines and says they were friends, how could they do this to her (take promotions while she was away, not want have lunch with her anymore)?
It goes downhill from there. She wisely, time and again, returns to her drug-user ex-husband. They're on a kayaking trip together with the guide and 2 other couples when she finds a joint and a few pills her ex had packed in his bag (why was she going through his things?) and she throws the pills in the river. This results in an embarrassing blowup between them, screaming at each other and fighting in front of the others on the trip, and ends with the 2 of them somehow getting to their car and driving back to civilization so the ex can buy more drugs.
That's when I gave up on this series.
Some people found this show delightful. I did not.
